We will learn how we came to be the Jews of today by discussing history from the 18th Century until World War I. How do Emancipation and Enlightenment go together? Where did Reform, Conservative, Orthodox come from? Are Jews a People or a Religion? What is the difference between Zionism, Socialism and Jewish Socialism? Why did Jews emigrate from Europe and where did they go? These are some of the topics we will cover.
