Midrasha High – One night a week throughout the school year, Eighth to Twelfth graders gather to study and socialize with Rabbi Goldstein. We meet from 7:00 until 8:30PM. In the coming year, we will meet on Thursday nights. Each year, we choose a general topic to be our focus of study and discussion. We approach this topic using texts, different media, the arts, contemporary events and our own experience and opinions. The class is quite free-wheeling and “getting side-tracked” is welcome and almost expected. We also take part in special events, including tzedakah opportunities, Yom Hashoah, special speakers and the Spokane Jewish Film Festival. Registering for and participating regularly in Midrasha High is one of the requirements for receipt of scholarship to attend USY and Israel programs.
